Funny Short Story Contest
1. Writers must be 12 to 19 years old.
2. Short stories can be no longer than 2,000 words.
3. Stories must be typed and double spaced.
4. Put the title and page number of your story on the top of each page.
5. Humor must have a major role in the story.
6. Type your name, your age, the title of your story and your phone number or e-mail address on a separate piece of paper and turn it in with your story. Do not put your name on your story so it will be judged equally with other entries.
7. Turn your stories in at the main desk or email to ptalbert@ephratapubliclibrary.org.
8. Deadline is October 31. No exceptions.

Grand Prize: Signed copy of Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson
Top 20 Winners: Pizza Party @ the library

What's Happening!
There's SO MUCH happening @ the library! On Thursday, June 14, join us for our first Teen Gamer's Club of the summer from 3-5 p.m. On Friday, June 15, we have aromatherapy candle making for teens at 4 p.m. On Monday, June 18, Anime Club is at 1 p.m. and a teen graphic novel discussion group at 3 p.m.
And don't forget our weekly Teen/Adult Chess Club on Tuesdays from 4-8 p.m.

Last Call for Carnival Volunteers!
Today was the first day of our middle school visits. It was great seeing some familiar faces - and meeting a whole lot of new teens! I'm looking forward to all of you visiting the library this summer.

Online Book Club - Sign Up Today!

A Chapter A Day Keeps Bad Reading Away!
How cool is it that you can preview books in your email before you check them out? Here's how the online book club works:

We need teen volunteers to help with the Summer Reading Carnival for kids on June 11th from 3-6 p.m. If you like to face paint, run games, do crafts, or if you have a special talent like juggling, please email me (ptalbert@ephratapubliclibrary.org) as soon as possible. Don't forget -- each time you volunteer, you get your name put into the drawing for the laptop computer!
