Teens In Grief - An Important Workshop

A Journey Through the Valley of Grief

This workshop, conducted by BASIS, a Christian ministry for bereaved families, is four sessions and offers teens a safe place where they will learn what normal grief looks and feels like. Through activities, participants will capture some memories of the one who they've lost. These workshops are run by Judy Blore, who has been working in the area of grieving since 1974.

Memorial Day Weekend Reading

OK...so I was totally obsessed with Libba Bray's series -- "A Great and Terrible Beauty," "Rebel Angels" and "A Sweet, Far Thing." I've finally finished the last one - and I highly recommend it! Now I've moved on to my goal of finishing the Twilight series before the fourth one comes out in August. You may have been grilling and playing with your friends, but I was sitting on my deck plowing my way through "New Dawn." The book was great. So this morning, I downloaded "Eclipse" onto my Kindle, and I plan a marathon reading experience this week. It is my hope that I will have it finished by Thursday.
